Member rates apply nationally and are a discounted registration rate. No additional subsidy applies. To be eligible for the member rate you must be a financial member of ASBA. Terms & Conditions

Cancellation of Registration Deadline: Saturday 18 April 2026

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the ASBAQ 2026 Conference Secretariat . Cancellations made before Saturday 18 April 2026 AEST will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by this date without incurring a cost penalty.

Refunds for cancellations received after Saturday 18 April 2026 AEST, will only be made in exceptional circumstances and must be supported by documentation. Decisions will be made at the discretion of the Local Organising Committee on a case-by-case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances.

It is strongly recommended that delegates arrange personal travel insurance at the time of registering, and it is the responsibility of the delegate to organise their own visa to enter Australia. The  ASBAQ 2026 Conference Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers of registrations .

ASBAQ 2026 offers numerous sessions and networking opportunities where participants can exchange information and engage with key topics of the Conference. Announced lectures and speakers may be subject to change, and substitutions may be made as necessary.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the host and the ASBAQ 2026 Organisers do not accept responsibility for any financial loss caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance, including coverage for personal possessions, cancellations, and unexpected disruptions. ASBAQ 2026 does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings, theft, or damage to belongings.

During the ASBAQ 2026 Conference, participants may be photographed or filmed at any time. By attending, you consent to the use, publication, or reproduction of your image or recording in any form of communication material used to promote ASBAQ 2026 and report on its events through publications and resource materials. If you do not wish to have your image photographed or filmed, please contact the conference secretariat in advance or onsite to advise of your preference.


ASBAQ 2026 Postponement

In the event of a postponement, all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new ASBAQ 2026 dates. All components of your registration including accommodation bookings, Welcome Reception RSVP and Dinner RSVP will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the ASBAQ 2026 Secretariat to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost, or request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $150 administration fee up until the Registration Cancellation Deadline.

Accommodation

The Conference Secretariat has negotiated special rates at hotels around the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre for the duration of the Conference. Delegates can easily make accommodation reservations at any of our hotels for ASBAQ 2026 via the online registration form. 

Please note:

• Bookings are subject to availability
• Breakfast is NOT included unless otherwise stated
• The rates listed are shown per night per room and for the full stay
• Full Payment is required at ACR Mackay and Quest Apartment Hotels
• The rates are in Australian Dollars ($AUD), inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is payable to the hotel chosen. There are no other additional charges to the hotel booking other than a credit card surcharge if paying by credit card

• Every hotel will have its individual Terms & Conditions. We advise you to read the Terms & Conditions thoroughly before making a booking. The Conference Secretariat is not liable for any cancellations or late fees. To cancel or make changes to your reservation, please contact the ASBAQ 2026 Conference Secretariat.

Accommodation Cancellations
Accommodation payments will NOT be refunded on or after Saturday 18 April 2026.
Delegates who confirm their attendance by paying a minimum of the first night and do not advise of cancellation before Saturday 18 April 2026 will be charged the ‘no show’ rate, as penalised by the hotel. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured. Please ensure that accommodation dates are correct at time of booking and before Saturday 18 April 2026 if any changes are required.
Change of booking
Any change in booking must be made in writing to the ASBAQ 2026 Conference Secretariat and NOT directly to the hotel before Saturday 18 April 2026. Any changes received after Saturday 18 April 2026 will be charged the ‘no show’ rate, as penalised by the hotel. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured. Please ensure that accommodation dates are correct at time of booking and before Saturday 18 April 2026 if any changes are required.
Early arrival
As check in at most hotels is not until 1400, it is possible that your room may not be ready for immediate occupation on your early arrival. Whilst hotels will do everything possible to accommodate early arrivals, if you wish to be guaranteed immediate occupation you can pay an extra day’s tariff for the night before you are due to arrive. If you wish to take this precaution, please advise the ASBAQ 2026 Conference Secretariat on the registration form so we can notify the hotel that your room is required early.
No Show
In the event of a “No Show” on the date of arrival, full cancellation penalties apply to all nights of the stay.
